P.E.O. Scholarships for Women

P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization for women. Founded in 1869 as a small friendship society, P.E.O. quickly grew into a diverse, widespread sisterhood with one mission: promote educational and personal growth opportunities for women. The application is open every September to January.

Scholarship requirements:

  • Student must be enrolled in the following award year
  • Must be a California resident and a citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States or Canada.

California Bar Foundation 2013 Diversity Scholarship ($7,500)

Console & Hollawell $1,000 Legal Leaders Scholarship: The Console & Hollawell $1‚000 Legal Leaders Scholarship is available to students who are pursuing a career in law. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in the following areas: pre-law‚ paralegal studies‚ or working towards their juris doctorate in any concentration of the law.

d'Oliveira & Associates College Scholarship

d'Oliveira & Associates College Scholarship: A $1,000 scholarship opportunity available to students pursuing college degrees or certifications in law school, paralegal studies‚ legal assistant studies‚ court reporting, or any other law-related field from community colleges‚ technical schools, or business schools in the United States. d'Oliveira & Associates will also make a $500 contribution to the winning applicant's college or university.

Farzad Family Law Scholarship

Farzad Family Law Scholarship: $1,500 scholarship available to law students.

Fresno County Lawyers' Memorial Scholarship Fund

Fresno County Lawyers' Memorial Scholarship Fund: One $1,000 scholarship for a law student from Fresno County.

Harry Zekian Memorial Scholarship Fund

Harry Zekian Memorial Scholarship Fund: Two $2500 scholarships for a law student from Fresno County

Hon. Gayle Guynup Scholarship Fund

Hon. Gayle Guynup Scholarship Fund: The fund is established to assist deserving law students with an interest in promoting women's access to and involvement in the legal system to complete their legal education by defraying some of the costs. Students must have completed one year of law school to be eligible.

Arthur E. Wallace Scholarship

Currently enrolled (2nd and 3rd year) law students, with ties to Kern County, may apply for the Judge Wallace Scholarship ($2,500). Applications must be postmarked by February 28, 2017.
